Sony The Group prepares to launch its Bitcoin and crypto exchange Amber Japan, a local subsidiary of Amber Group acquired by Sony. S.BLOX will be the new name of Sony’s revamped cryptocurrency exchange.

Sony purchases Amber Japan Quetta Web, a subsidiary of Amber Group in Singapore. Amber Japan used to be known as DeCurret until Singapore’s Amber Group acquired the Japanese exchange 2022.
Sony has renamed its exchange acquired by S.BLOX. plans to upgrade Its user interface and app for mobile devices have been significantly improved. Launch date is still unknown.
Sony is increasing its focus on Bitcoin and Crypto. Sony will be able to leverage its global brand and reach by leveraging Amber Japan Exchange in order to drive adoption for its Bitcoin and crypto future offerings.
Japan has emerged as a leading Bitcoin market due to proactive regulation and high consumer awareness. Sony can launch and expand its services in this market.
Sony’s embrace of Bitcoin and crypto signals wider mainstream momentum. Sony transformed from a small electronics manufacturer into a major media company through the acquisition of CBS Records and Columbia Pictures. This latest acquisition may lead Bitcoin to undergo a similar transformation.
