Story of “My Trust In You Is Broken” This episode revolves around Block Size Wars, a period in 2017 that saw BitPay advocating for SegWit2x to increase Bitcoin’s limit on block sizes. Seeing this, Dorier was motivated to create BTCPay Server in defiance of this centralized control, empowering merchants to accept Bitcoin directly on their ownPromoting decentralization, and independence of intermediaries.
This 42-minute documentary sheds some light on how important it is to verify transactions, and what risks come with blindly trusting a third party. This documentary shows the journey of BTCPay Server from its conception in 2017 to its current status as a platform driven by community and known for its privacy features.
This film was produced at the Bitcoin 2023 Conference, Miami. It captures important moments, and includes interviews with contributors to BTCPay. The result is a complete perspective of Bitcoin as a currency. “My Trust In You Is Broken” This project aims at serving as a demonstration of the continued evolution of Bitcoin. It also highlights the important role that community-driven projects like BTCPay Server play in shaping Bitcoin’s future.
You have lied to me, and I’m not going to let you go.
