Ethereum’s growth is a result of the diversity in human participation, which creates resilience within the ecosystem. The Devconnect Scholars Program This is a small step that will help create community resilience. The Ethereum protocol can better serve all people’s coordination needs by ensuring that it is represented across demographics, geography and age groups. Better representation, such as a better geographical distribution of Ethereum Nodes, not only helps the security of the blockchain but also enriches our community.
The Scholars Program attracted 22 builders to Devconnect Istanbul from communities currently underrepresented on Ethereum. This post highlights some of the Scholars, and their stories.
Meet the Scholars
Meet Ovia. She is a blockchain researcher and PhD candidate who has studied Proof-of-Work Blockchains. She is an active member of India’s Web3 communities, primarily by giving workshops and helping to empower non-binary and female individuals at the Phoenix Guild.
